C93 free download of unreleased track
I am delighted to announce my friends at Washington Records have made available a free download of an unreleased mix of C93’s ‘Passenger ‘Aleph’ In Name’ from BAALSTORM, SING OMEGA. This version features the amazing percussion and drums of Alex Neilson and has never appeared elsewhere. C93 play new set including new material and new arrangements, Berlin, 9 April
C93 are PerfectPeace to Be DrinkingGrails at Berlin Volksbühne on 9 April. C93 will be playing a new set on this occasion including new material by C93 as well as songs from the upcoming MYRNINEREST album, “JHONN”, Uttered Babylon which centres on David Tibet’s relationship with, and love for, Jhonn Balance. Also Unveiled for the first time will be new arrangements of C93 classics from the last 93 years of Our Living and Giving.
Tickets go on sale, we are told, on 1 March. We will give more details as soon as we have them.
C93 perhaps play St. Petersburg, 10 April
There is a good chance C93 SkipNic into St. Petersburg to Kiss Soft Black Tsars on 10 April. We are still waiting for confirmation; we should have confirmation within a couple of days.
Comus: astonishing new album released in April on Coptic Cat
I and all at Coptic Cat are stunned and OverPlanets to announce the new album by the unmatched and perfect COMUS, Out of the Coma, will be released in April. It will be launched at a show by Comus at London’s Borderline club. The album is ASTONISHING—three ecstatic and terrifying new tracks, and an archival recording of the legendary Malgaard Suite from 1972. A piece on David’s lyrics for “It’s Time, Only Time” from the C93 album Soft Black Stars is featured in an Italian textbook on the English language called Literary Hyperlinks (From Early Britain to The Augustan Age) Volume 1 by Graeme Thomson and Silvia Maglioni published by Black Cat Publishing. Many thanks to our friend Giorgio Cebrero for bringing this to our attention.

Since David is too busy rocking to the Allman Brothers and doesn’t want to release anything of his own, we are launching the site with a reissue of Creakiness by Nurse With Wound expanded to include a few limited and out-of-print single releases.
Hopefully there will be a new C93 release before the end of 2012 when the world ends.

My Beloved Friend KatieJane Garside just sent me the new Ruby Throat book/album O’ Doubt O’ Stars. It is a gorgeous hand-bound art book issued in a limited edition of 500 numbered copies. It is UtterHoneyTimeSound. I have been a huge fan of hers for longer than I can remember; I was first introduced to her personally by Einar Örn, then of the Sugarcubes. She as I write thus: “They drag the canal, I swim with birds, here is my stone dress. New book by Chiara Barzini, C93 family member

One of my closest friends, Chiara Barzini—a truly remarkable author—has just had her new book Sister Stop Breathing published. Chiara Barzini—the Apocalypse Girl in her hat, who sat and talked to flowers and planets—was one of the four female muses who were the inspiration for C93’s Baalstorm, Sing Omega.
Chiara had sent me various drafts of the book and it is as perfect as the planets and flowers she speaks to. She also wrote to me and to friends that “You can catch glimpses of the spirit of David Tibet’s songs and poetry between the lines as I was greatly inspired by Current 93’s music”.
I love Chiara’s work, and I love Chiara. I recommend this book utterly!

Sister Stop Breathing is a visionary collection of illustrated short fictions whose themes range from the apocalypse, motherlands, and the space we inhabit between life and death.
